Favorite Technology Tools

Well, I am blog stalking again. I am trying to convince myself to begin an education blog. For now, I am getting blog experience by participating in other blogs. Please be patient while I also include posts about a hodgepodge of topics including my family. I have labeled all my education posts as school. Hopefully, you can find all my education related posted under the label "school".

I've joined Miss Snowden's Technology Tools linky party. First off, this is a huge deal because I have not used much technology in my kindergarten classroom as I have in the past when I have taught older grades. In my classroom, I currently use a projector mounting from the ceiling.

This is connected to my computer. This projects directly to my magnetic dry erase board. I project weekly poems and videos from the internet. Basically, anything that can be showed on my computer can be show on the board.
I have a Mimio, that hasn't been used yet. We are scheduled to receive training this summer on how to use the Mimio. Any advice?

Check out 1st Grade with Snowden to read what technology other teachers are using in their classrooms.

  1. YAY!!!! The first mimio I've seen on the party. We use mimio. I love it. There is no big bulky board, just the interactive strip. Check out mimio connect for some pre-made lessons. Your district's tech people should give you a code so you can download the mimio software on your computer at home. If they don't ask for it! Mimio connect has so much stuff on there, I never find the time at school to look through it.

Well that was a long comment! :) Thanks for linking up!
